Driven with Skip Barber is a storytelling podcast hosted by racing legend Skip Barber in which he talks with people, brands, and event leaders related to, or with an interest in the automotive & racing space as well as celebrity car enthusiasts.
Skip is a former professional Formula One driver who has taught many of the top racing performers through his driving school. Skip began his racing career in 1958 while studying at Harvard University. Shortly after graduating, he made it to the top of the racing world, winning three consecutive National Championships. In the 1970s, he opened Skip Barber Racing School, which grew to 20 locations, making it the largest racing school in the world and one of the longest-running, as it continues today under new ownership.
Today, Skip continues to operate Lime Rock Park, one of the most historically significant race tracks in North America. Opened in 1957, the track is nestled in the hills of Northwest Connecticut and has remained impressively the same as when it opened. Lime Rock is 1.50 miles of up hill and down dale, a road course that looks deceivingly simple but is immensely challenging to drive quickly. Almost all of the sport’s greats have raced there, as well as many celebrity racing enthusiasts.
Driven with Skip Barber will bring you a unique perspective on the world of motoring and motorsports that only this racing legend can bring.
